The Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention is part of CDC's National Center for HIV, STD and TB Prevention and coordinates CDC's effort in HIV/AIDS Prevention. CDC's programs include support for state and local prevention activities; a national public information network; education programs in the nation's schools; disease monitoring; and laboratory, behavioral, and epidemiological studies designed to identify the most effective interventions to combat HIV.
