The Office of Minority Health (OMH) Resource Center assists health professionals and the general public in identifying free or low-cost health-related information resources that target minority audiences, i.e., Asians/Pacific Islanders, Blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans. The Center maintains a computerized database of materials, organizations, and programs and maintains a minority health network of active professionals who provide technical assistance, minority community-based organizations, and volunteer groups. Bilingual information specialists (Spanish and Asian languages) provide free custom searches of its minority health databases, perform reference research, refer requesters to other information resources, and disseminate publications.
