Talking Life can be WONDERFUL

Get HELP NOW ! I wasted the first 40 years of my life being miserable, hateful, negative, just plain EVIL. My doctor kept telling me that was depressed.I told him no,I didn't want any addictive drugs,I've been on Valium when I was 14 and I was still mean.etc.....Finally,after my father died,I asked my doctor for a little something to ease my mind. He told me about Zoloft and made me promise to try it for 3 months, without missing a dose etc....
Other people notice a change in me,before I did. I was smiling more,I was more positive in my thinking,I used the word LOVE, instead of HATE.I really am a different person,Now I see what a miserable 40 years of life I wasted. I am taking 200 mg. of Zoloft a day and I never want to be the person I used to be. I started living 9 years ago with my first dose.
Don't waste anymore time, only a DOCTOR can prescribe these meds with careful monitoring. Please talk to your family MD.,school counselor, and your family.

Nice advice DenimOrchid, it's always better to hear it from someone who can relate. I do hope the person who posted this question makes it back here to read your reply.

Be happy.. you must consult a doctor.. i think you may respond with love, kindness, or support, hoping that the sadness will soon pass. you may offer to listen if the person wants to talk. If the depressed feeling doesn't pass with a little time, friends or loved ones may encourage the person to get help from a doctor, therapist, or counselor..

Default Depression...

I have suffered from clinical depression for many many years and what I have learned from all the medical help and self help advise is to seek help medically first. You need to be on a medication that will help the depression and the anxiety in your life. You will see a big difference in how you feel and think. This is a first step..get stable.

To continue after step one is to find counselling, someone that will listen to you and your feelings without judging you and with the right person, they will help you sort out all that confusion in your head and emotions that depression causes.

I personally have tried, it seems like a million and one, medications and the final medication that I was on, I was on the highest level. I was told that the next step for me was shock treatment.

After being on this medication for maybe a year and I became more stable, I started to ween myself down on the medication and I am presently on the minimum dosage. Along with a mental health Doctor, you need to know your own body. Become self aware. Sometimes you can be over medicated and that doesn't help the situation either. Be smart about your body and mind. But all of this is down the road, first start off with help fast.

When you have allergies and you reach for that medication that is supposed to help you, you aren't thinking that the drug could possibly cause you to have suicidal thoughts. If you take the allergy and asthma medication Singulair it is link to depression and suicidal tendencies. Used by both children and adults, possible side effects can also include tremors and anxiety. It's been reported that at least three people who were taking Singulair have committed suicide.
