Default Infant Acid Reflux??

What worked best for your baby?? I need some advice. I've done everything my peiatrician told me to do and people still tell me I'm doing wrong. My son is not gaining weight due to the reflux. So he is on cereal, in the bottle, thats the only thing working at the moment. He will not eat from a spoon yet. Trust me, Ive tried for weeks and the pediatrician said he's definately not ready. What else am I supposed to do? He is very underweight right now due to the reflux. I just started the cereal 5 dyas ago. If its working, he has no more projectile vomiting, no more screaming and he has an appetite now. Then what else should I do? I mean if people keep telling me how bad it is to give him cereal, then please tell me what I'm supposed to do. His doctor will NOT put him on meds because of other health issues. So please to the people who keep telling me not to do it, then you tell me what else to do. He has to keep his formula down due to poor weight gain, and hes finally keeping it down.
By the way, my son is 4 months old. The only other option is to take him off the cereal and let him be miserable and in pain. And the he will not gain weight.
I tried the pillow under the mattress but he rolls, the first night when i woke up he was completely turned around on the opposite end of his crib. And as long as I stand up with him and walk around for about a 1/2 he does alot better with the addition of the cereal.

You need some meds...I was given ranitidine to keep the acid down for my son...he could be doing damage with the acid coming back up. you need to research things that won't react with his other medical problems. You need to sit him upright for about 1/2 an hour after each feed. Keep trying to spoon the cereal into him. I realize they push a lot back out with their tongue...but keep trying. There is light at the end of the tuinnel...they can grow out of it. As the sphincter at teh top of the stomach matures, and they start moving around it clears up...my son's did.
