What does acid reflux and heartburn feel like?

Can anyone tell me?
I've had pain on and off on the left side of my chest, and my neck. I do feel a bit nauseous, and have since yesterday, but I feel like its anxiety causing the nausea. Also it feels on and off warm in my stomach and rarely a bit warm in my throat...mainly my tummy. My chest isn't burning though...its like a dull sharp pain. I'm going to doctor tomorrow, but I'm readying myself for the possibilities.

Just like the word. It feels like your heart is on fire and it goes up through your esophgus sometimes and if it is bad enough you will get lots of saliva rush into your mouth also.
