Default True or False? Do you burn more calories working out in the winter or summer?

My wife told me an instructor told her that you burn more calories in the winter than you do in the summer when you workout. I workout and never heard this before. I'm assuming that if you jog in the winter you can jog longer with the weather being cooler.

Shivering burns a couple calories lol, so I'm sure that contributes. Whether that is the reason, i don't know.

your body burns more calories trying to maintain body temperature , and it's usually colder and winter so that will be why .
