I am 5'8 and about 225lbs.I got what people would call a beer belly.My waist size is 38.I would like to get back to 32 or 34 waist.I just started at the local gym.I have been doing a fast walk for about 15 minutes on the tredmill and then work on my abs.I also end my session with another 15 minute fast walk on tredmill.They have 3 diffrent machines to work your abs.For now i have been only using light weights for my abs (35lbs) I don't want to hurt myself.I do about 15 reps on each machine,twice.I haven't really worked out in about 15 years.I was hopeing someone could give me some good information on weather or not i'm doing the right thing.

Many people have struggled with weight issues one time or another. Every diet fad has been tried and dollars lost. To many diets are too restrictive or monotonous, or leave you feeling deprived and do not teach you how to permanently change your eating and exercise habits. Most diets leave you hungry, tired, and craving the foods you miss most! Therefore, you return to your old eating habits and gain the weight back again. The unfortunate part is, is that the weight you gain back is fat weight.
