...prevent pregnancy? With well over 6 billion people on earth and more being born more rapidly than dying (not to sound wicked or anything) I am strongly against having one's own children and all for adopting a child in need of a mother.
So, while it's a huge decision that I may not even go through, I would still like to research different procedures (for females) that would permanently prevent pregnancy. What are these procedures called? While I'll be doing my own research, any other information about them is also great. |

I am a Certified Medical Assistant mother of 3 and I had a
Tubal Ligation with Cauterization 14 years ago,,, If you ever decide that you want your own child be advised this procedure is NON-Reversible and there are risks for complications due to scar tissue ( happened to me) The Risk is also greater for tubal pregnancy's because the egg has no place to go and this is life threatening ( to you) so it is still advised to use a condom The ONLY other option is a COMPLETE Hysterectomy which removes everything ( Tubes, Ovaries, Uterus) most doctors will not preform this procedure if you are healthy.. |

You can get your tubes tied, but most doctors will not do it if you have never had a child. Adopting is great but their is no better feeling then knowing you have a baby inside of you. When both my children were born the emotion was so strong that my face was flooded with tears. I did not even know I was crying till I felt my face wet. It is a wonderful experience. I know you can love an adopted child just as much but having one of your own is something that your body will crave as you get older. So adopt if you want but really think long and hard before you decide to have a permanent procedure done. Another thing how does your husband or boyfriend feel about it. My sister in law adopted a baby and then a few months later she found out she was pregnant and now the father favors the natural child, and he always promised that would never happen. Good luck I am sure you will make what ever decision is right for you and your family.
