Rape Case Incidence Down In U.S., Statistics Show

... The incidence of rape cases in the U.S. has decreased by more than 85% from 1979 to 2004, according to data from a Department of Justice survey, the Washington Post reports. The figure is based on the National Crime Victimization Survey -- which asks people age 12 and older about crimes that have happened to them that they did not report to authorities.
