Trizivir™ is a combination of three reverse transcriptase inhibitors patented by GlaxoSmithKline. It is indicated in the treatment of AIDS/HIV: abacavir ("ABC") lamivudine ("3TC") zidovudine ("AZT") The combination of drugs is helpful in that it helps to reduce HIV's resistance (through mutation) to the drugs individually.
