... METYROSINE (Demser^®) helps to control high blood pressure caused by pheochromocytoma (a noncancerous tumor of the adrenal gland). Pheochromocytoma makes the body produce too much epinephrine and norepinephrine. These substances cause high blood pressure, headaches, nausea, sweating, and rapid heartbeat.
