Recessive multiple epiphyseal dysplasia is a disorder of cartilage and bone development. This condition has relatively mild signs and symptoms, including joint pain that usually begins in late childhood; malformations of the hands, feet, and knees; and abnormal curvature of the spine (scoliosis).
