Dyspepsia (from the Greek prefix "δυς-"(Dys-), meaning hard, difficult, and "πέψη"(Pepsi), meaning Digestion) is a constant pain in the stomach. Constant pains include indigestion and heartburn. Another discomfort is nausea. Functional dyspepsia has no visible cause. Other forms may be identified by X-ray or endoscopy. Dyspepsia may be caused by conditions such as stomach ulcers.
