Last Man Standing E-mail this page to a friend Click here for help Full instructions Right, it's time for revenge! England may have been annihilated in the Ashes over the last 15 years, but now it's your chance to restore some pride with BBC Sport Online's exclusive cricket game - Last Man Standing. We're giving you a number of scenarios, which will be all too familiar to England fans. The team are in deep trouble against Australia, with just one wicket remaining. But the good news is that you can single-handedly inspire an amazing comeback to rival Headingley 1981. Like the real thing, this game is all about timing and shot selection - and holding your nerve when the match reaches a tense moment. Once you’ve chosen a scenario you are the batsman and it's your job to score the runs that will win the Test for England. Hit Number Lock, then use the Space Bar to start the game. You’ll see the bowler begin his run-up and it's up to you to pick the right shot depending on the type of delivery. The game will indicate which shot you should play by lighting up the correct number, but you can switch this hint off when you are confident enough! Use the numbers on the keypad to select a stroke. Time it right and the runs will come - but get it wrong and you could be heading back to the pavilion. And if, like so many England batsmen, you find the Aussie bowlers are just too good for you, fear not - help is at hand. You can activate the Shot Guide in the top right of the screen which gives you a hint about which stroke you should play. Who knows, if it all goes well you might be able to start rewriting the history books? Key to shots Press the following numbers on your Keypad to produce these strokes: 1 - Evasive defensive 2 - Forward defensive 3 - Sweep 4 - Cover drive 5 - Block 6 - On drive 7 - Back foot drive 8 - Straight drive 9 - Pull (Make sure you hit Number Lock before you start the game) Help The movie is 463k and should take no more than 3 minutes to download over a 56k modem. If you are experiencing difficulties using the keypad please ensure you have Number lock selected. If you can't see the game above then you will need to install the free Macromedia Flash 5 player plug-in. You can download the free Flash 5 player plug-in from www.macromedia.com (the file is 219k and will take approximately 1 minutes to download over a 56k modem). Click here to go to our help page if you have any questions or problems about using the Flash plug-in. E-mail this to a friend Printable version BBC PRODUCTS AND SERVICES Daily and weekly e-mails
